Health & Home Profile
Health & Home is the Philippine’s longest running health magazine for the whole family. It has been in circulation for 48 years. Now it is distributed monthly with 120,000 copies circulated to different parts of the globe.
Health & Home is a perfect reading companion for empowered woman who passionately fulfills her responsibilities to her children, husband, community, church, and herself. This bimonthly magazine provides her with practical guides on parenting and child-rearing, home keeping, health, marriage, and spiritual well being.
Health & Home offers her family with helpful information for healthy, happy, and wholistic living to the glory of God.
Students, professionals, parents, and children are our primary target readers. By and large, our readers are mostly Christians, but a good number of our Muslim brethren in Mindanao subscribe to Health & Home. About 95 percent of our subscribers are non-Adventists, although many of them know that the magazine is published by the Seventh-day Adventists. Aside from our Philippine market, we have a good number of subscribers across Asia.
The Editorial staff aims to produce articles that give the optimum satisfaction in reading–articles that promote health of mind, body, and soul, as well as happiness in the home.
Included in the spectrum of articles are current issues that deal with health and general welfare of the family. Thus, if the current emphasis is on family planning, we print articles along that line–and so forth. We also have timely articles to fit national celebrations like Education Week, World Youth Day, International Women’s Month, Environmental Awareness Month, Christmas, Nutrition Month, etc. This makes the magazine a handy source of materials which teachers and other professionals can use for special occasions.
The staff has long looked forward to receiving articles from local writers to inject local flavors to the magazine.
Our articles feature a variety of topics–from health tips to pregnant mothers to advice to the elderly on happy living to stories for children. We, however, refrain from ”taking a stand” on political issues, hence we do not print submitted articles along this line.
